Custom Adidas Football Kits: Made to Order From 12, or Off the Shelf

Empulse now builds custom adidas football kits to order through adidas Locker Room, the adidas platform for designing teamwear. The minimum is 12 kits per order, production runs around 45 days plus shipping, and jerseys, shorts and socks all come in men's, women's and youth cuts. If your squad is smaller than 12 or your season starts sooner, in-stock adidas teamwear with your club crest applied is the faster route.

What adidas Locker Room actually is

Locker Room is the adidas platform for designing custom teamwear. You start from a kit template, set your colours, then add your crest, sponsor logos, player names and numbers. Every order is placed through a retailer, who checks the design, the sizes and the personalisation before it goes into production. Empulse handles that step for your club.

To be clear about what that means: Empulse is an independent Australian teamwear business, not part of adidas. We supply genuine adidas product and manage your Locker Room order from design sign-off to delivery.

The retailer check is the part clubs underestimate. A crest that looks fine on a laptop can fall apart at chest size on a jersey, and a sponsor panel that works on the front can sit awkwardly once numbers go on the back. Catching that before production is the point of the step.

Club identity is not a small thing here. Football is the country's most participated team sport, with 1.93 million participants recorded in 2025. A lot of sides look the same on a Saturday. Your kit is the cheapest way not to.

What you can customise on a custom adidas football kit

Across the templates you can set:

  • Base colours and trims to match your club
  • Your crest or logo on the chest
  • Sponsor logos
  • Player names on the back
  • Player numbers, set player by player
  • Graphic patterns, or a clean solid look if you prefer

A full kit covers three pieces. Jerseys come in short sleeve, long sleeve and goalkeeper styles across men's, women's and youth cuts. Shorts are designed to your jersey colours, in the same three cuts. Socks come as adisock match socks or crew socks, plus team sleeves for players who wear grip socks underneath.

That last point catches people out. Plenty of players now run a team sleeve with their own grip socks underneath rather than a full match sock, which changes what you order. Our breakdown of grip socks versus compression socks settles that argument quickly.

The four kit templates and who each one suits

Template Best for Worth knowing
Tiro 26 Competition Clubs after a modern match look Short and long sleeve, front-only or front and back graphics, interlock fabric with a hydrophilic finish. Slim fit men's, regular fit women's and youth.
Competition 25 Traditional clubs Collar optional, 20 base colours, lightweight recycled polyester with AEROREADY, embroidered adidas logo and applied 3-Stripes.
Graphic 25 Bold identities and warm-ups All-over graphic patterns in recycled polyester with AEROREADY, with matching graphic shorts available.
Squadra 25 Clean looks and goalkeepers 20 base colours, 25 for goalkeepers. The goalkeeper jersey adds foam elbow pads.

Templates, colours and options follow the current adidas Locker Room range and can change season to season. Torn between two? Say so in your enquiry.

The honest advice: if you are ordering fewer than 12 kits, or you need gear inside six weeks, made to order is the wrong tool. Genuine in-stock adidas teamwear with your crest on it will look sharp and arrive on time. The Entrada 26 jersey at $34.95 and the matching Entrada 26 shorts at $30.00 cover most social and community sides without anyone waiting six weeks.

Locker Room earns its place when you want a kit that is genuinely yours, and you intend to run it for more than one season. If that is your club, start at the custom adidas football kits page and send the enquiry.

Working backwards from your first game

Start the conversation 8 to 10 weeks before your first match. Production alone is around 45 days, and everything that happens before production is where clubs lose time. A workable run looks like this:

  • Weeks 1 to 2: enquiry, template choice, quote and budget sign-off
  • Weeks 2 to 3: design set up in Locker Room, club sign-off on colours, crest and sponsors
  • Week 3: squad sizes, names and numbers collected and locked
  • Then: around 45 days production, plus shipping anywhere in Australia

On the Australian calendar, winter season kits are a December and January conversation, not a February one. Futsal and summer competitions run the other way, so that window lands mid-year.

The step that blows deadlines is almost always sizing. Guessing across a 20-player squad guarantees at least two swaps, and swaps on a made-to-order kit are not a quick fix. Build a size ladder before you collect a single name: our guide to starting with the size ladder shows how.

Three things that quietly slow a kit order down

1. A crest supplied as a screenshot. Chase the club's original vector artwork before you start. A logo pulled off a website will look soft on fabric, and redrawing it adds a week nobody budgeted for.

2. Sizes collected by asking players what size they are. People answer with the size they wish they were. A try-on set and a written ladder beats a group chat every time.

3. Sponsors confirmed after the design is approved. Lock your sponsor list before the kit goes into Locker Room. Adding a logo after sign-off means a fresh approval round, and the production clock has not started yet.

None of these are adidas problems. They are club admin problems, and they decide whether kit lands in round one or round five. Shorts deserve their own think too, since fit and fabric vary more than people expect: our notes on custom soccer shorts cover it.

Kit rules worth checking before you sign off

Before you commit to a colourway, check it against the competition you play in. Under Law 4 of the Laws of the Game, the two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each other and from the match officials, and each goalkeeper must be distinguishable from both. Undershirts must be a single colour matching the main shirt sleeve, or a pattern that exactly replicates it.

So, two decisions up front: pick a base your local rivals are not already wearing, and sort the keeper's colours at the same time rather than as an afterthought.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom adidas football kits?

Twelve kits per order. For smaller squads, in-stock adidas teamwear branded with your club crest is the alternative, with no 12-kit minimum.

How long do custom adidas kits take?

Around 45 days for production, plus shipping. Starting 8 to 10 weeks out leaves room for design approval and collecting sizes, names and numbers.

How much does a custom adidas kit cost?

Pricing depends on the template, the pieces you choose, the quantity and the personalisation, so it is quoted rather than listed. Send your details through and we will come back with a quote.

Are women's and youth sizes available?

Yes. Jerseys and shorts come in men's, women's and youth versions across the templates, and the socks are unisex.

Do the kits suit futsal as well as outdoor football?

Yes. The jerseys, shorts and socks work for both. Indoor players often pair team sleeves with grip socks for a more secure fit inside futsal shoes.

Do you deliver across Australia?

Yes, to clubs, schools and teams anywhere in Australia.

Ready to kit out the squad?

Tell us your club, your sport, the template you are leaning towards and how many kits you need. We reply within 24 hours with next steps and a quote. Start at the adidas Locker Room custom kits page, or check junior teamwear for the younger sides. For how the same thinking applies to a corporate or social side, see custom adidas jerseys for business teams and social clubs.
